Hangzhou Jiang Hao medical instruments Co., Ltd.: pneumatic tourniquet, automatic pressure hemostat, patient transfer plate, blood drive belt, bed board and so on
The tourniquet is a simple and effective hemostatic method in the emergency treatment of massive hemorrhage of extremities. It can stop bleeding by compressing blood vessels and blocking blood flow. The material of tourniquet is rubber band or rubber tube. It is not suitable to use elastic tape such as tape and electric wire. The binding position should be above the wound (near the heart), and as close as possible to the wound, upper arm 1/3 and upper thigh is appropriate. You can't use a tourniquet on your calf and forearm because there are two bones, and the blood vessels are just between the two bones, so they can't compress the blood vessels. The middle and lower 1/3 of the upper arm can not be added to the tourniquet because it can cause nerve damage and cause paralysis of the arm. You can choose the width of at least 5 cm (2 inches) of cloth, as a hemostasis to bring to use. If you are forced to use a narrower line (wire or rope), you must fold the layers of fabric to reduce discomfort and avoid injuring nerves or muscles.
Points for attention:
1. The tourniquet blocked the blood flow, the long time of binding will cause serious injury and even lead to limb necrosis.
2, tourniquet can only be used for strapping limbs, avoid strapping the head, neck or trunk.
3, do not cover the tourniquet strapped to the extremities.
4. Check the circulation of blood. After the bandage is finished, the toes or fingers should be checked regularly to see if there is cyanosis at the end, skin temperature drops and other phenomena. If it should be loosened, it can cause tissue necrosis.
5. If used improperly or for a long time, it can cause distal limb ischemia, necrosis and disability. Therefore, it can only be used when bleeding is severe and other methods can not stop bleeding.
